Greensburg Police Department – Parking Tickets

EFFECTIVE AS OF JULY 1, 2008

IN THE SUPERIOR COURT OF DECATUR COUNTY STATE OF INDIANA

IF YOU WISH TO ADMIT THE CHARGE: You need not appear in person. You may pay your fine by mail, in person, or online. To pay by mail, you must mail the ticket, along with the fine indicated below, to the clerk before the appearance date. We do NOT accept personal/company checks. To pay online by credit card, go to www.paytrustsolutions.com or you may call 1-866-480-8552. (A convenience fee will be added to the amount owed.) You will need to know the UTT number (the number on the right side of your ticket), a cause number (call 812-663-8642 for this number), and the full amount of the payment. If you fail to pay, your license will be suspended. If you fail to pay by the appearance date on this date on the ticket, a late payment fee of $25.00 will be imposed and shall be paid in addition to the fine and costs. Tickets are not processed until ten days after issued.

Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Monday – Thursday

            8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Friday

The fine and costs schedule is as follows:

Speeding:

            1-10 over         $115.50

            11-30 over       $115.50 + $1.00 for each mile over the legal limit

                                    (example: 85/70 mph would be $115.50 + $15.00 = $130.50)

            31-50 over       $115.50 + $2.00 for each mile over the legal limit

                                    (example: 90/95 mph would be $115.50+$70.00 = $185.50)

OTHER VIOLATIONS:

            Driving with suspended license-infraction                  $139.00

            Other moving violations                                                $119.00

            Seatbelt violations                                                         $  25.00

            Child restraint violations                                               $  25.00

Seatbelt violation for CDL driver                                 $115.50

Equipment violations                                                    $115.50

Non-moving violations                                                  $115.50

Minor in possession of tobacco                                  $115.50

Exceeding a worksite speed limit                               Speeding fines and costs plus $25.00

Failure to wear hunter orange                                      $  25.00

Fishing, boating, conservation violations, ATV          $115.50

IF YOU WISH TO DENY THE CHARGE: Call the clerk at (812)663-8642 before your appearance date. When you call, the Court will schedule a trial which will be held at a later date. If you fail to appear for trial, the trial will be held in your absence.
